Suspect remanded in Jerusalem stabbing of off-duty soldier

Suspect remanded in Jeru

Nahum Ben-Yitzhak, 20, the chief suspect in the fatal stabbing of off-duty IDF soldier Yitzhak Mor, was remanded for seven days in custody on Monday during a hearing at the Jerusalem District Court. Mor succumbed to his wounds after a brawl that broke out in front of a nightclub on Jerusalem's Koresh Street in October. A second suspect in the case, Ohad Edan, was also supposed to appear for a remand hearing on Monday, but police later said Edan's hearing would likely be held on Tuesday. An initial police investigation into the case revealed that an argument that had erupted inside the club spilled outside, where according to police, Mor and another individual were stabbed. The other victim was lightly-to-moderately wounded.
