Suspicions of arson follow series of wildfire outbreaks

A series of fire that have broken out recently despite the absence of strong winds or burning sunlight have led to suspicions of arson, Channel 10 news reported on Saturday.

Firefighters worked to put out a wildfire near the Birha military base on Saturday afternoon. Two firefighting crews and two water-dropping planes were summoned to the area.

Earlier on Saturday, six firefighting crews and two water-dropping planes succeeded in extinguishing a fire in the Western Galilee between the Ahihud Junction and Barlev industrial area.
