TA police probing car bombing that targeted businessman and prominent Hapoel FC supporter

Tel Aviv police are looking for suspects in a car bombing in a residential area of Rishpon north of Herzliya Monday night.
No one was hurt in the bombing, which police said was caused by an explosive device that was stuck to the vehicle. The device was not an especially large one, as the four-door black Audi was still largely intact.
The car belongs to Dani Wolfert, a local businessman well-known for being a prominent supporter of the Hapoel Tel Aviv football team. Police said that the man had not reported being threatened or as having any personal disputes with anyone in recent memory. Among other possibilities, the investigation will focus on whether or not the bombing was related to his dealings with Hapoel, which included efforts to change the leadership of the club.
In late October, Beitar Jerusalem FC owner and former Hapoel Tel Aviv owner Eli Tabib contacted police after he found a fragmentation grenade stuck to his car in the driveway of his house in Kfar Shmeryahu.
