Trailer released for flotilla film shot on 'Mavi Marmara'

The trailer for a new Turkish film featuring a particularly violent rendition of the May 31 Gaza flotilla incident is was released on the internet this week. Scenes in the movie portraying the flotilla were filmed aboard the actual ship involved, the Mavi Marmara.

The movie, Valley of the Wolves: Palestine, is a spinoff from the controversial but highly popular TV drama series Valley of the Wolves, which tells the story of a nationalist undercover agent assigned to kill state enemies. The series sparked a diplomatic row between Turkey and Israel earlier this year after one episode showed Israeli security forces kidnapping children and shooting old men.
