Tunisian official denies reports of continued torture

A Tunisian minister has denied reports of torture in Tunisia since the start of the revolution that forced former president Zine El Abdine Ben Ali from power, UPI in Arabic reported Friday.
He also rejected human rights organization reports that the government in Tunisia has continued to use torture on detained citizens.
The minister, who works for the Tunisian Interior Ministry, said that there has been no record of torture within the ministry, or in Tunisia since the so-called Jasmine Revolution.
