'Turkish PM offered to have Gaza flotilla called off'

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan made an offer to Israel to have the peace-activists' aid flotilla to Gaza called off, if Israel would agree to transfer Turkish aid supplies to Gaza in an orderly manner, Channel 2 news reported Monday.
The offer was apparently made through Turkey's ambassador in the US and his Israeli counterpart.
Discussions on the offer were reportedly progressing when Turkey called them off, saying it was unsuccessful in its efforts to have the flotilla organizers call the protest off.
