Two Romanians arrested for violent robbery of UK national

Two Romanian citizens were arrested by police in Petah Tikva on Tuesday on suspicion of brutally beating and robbing a British citizen outside of a pub last week.
Petah Tikva detective Yigal Hasdai told The Jerusalem Post that the two suspects - one of whom resided in Israel for eleven years and had resident status, and the second of whom resided in Israel illegally for five years - targeted the British citizen in a Petah Tikva pub after deciding that he had money they could steal.
"They followed him out of the pub, beat him, and stole his cash," Hasdai said. Police said the robbery victim suffered facial bruising.
Police were able to trace the get away car, and went on to arrest the two suspects.
The suspects have been questioned and will be indicted in the near future.
