Two young men gunned down in Acre double murder

Two men in their early 20s were gunned down in Acre on Wednesday night, the Coastal Region Police reported.

The investigation was still in its initial phases Wednesday night, but Coastal district police spokesman, Supt. Eran Shaked said that the two men are known to police and it appears that the double murder is related to some sort of criminal feud, and not a personal or family dispute.

Shaked said the two men are involved in criminal activities but are known only on the local Acre level, and are not prominent underworld figures,

The two victims, who have yet to be named by police, were sitting in a car on Mota Gur street in the city when they were shot several times by unknown assailants who fled the scene.

Police patrol units were combing the city for the shooter or shooters Wednesday night, and tasked the Coastal branch of the “YAMAR” Central Investigative Unit with the case.
