UN Palestinian envoy says vote to be held on resolution

The Palestinian envoy to the UN said Friday there would be a vote shortly in the Security Council on an resolution drafted by the Palestinians condemning settlements in the West Bank., Reuters reported.
The diplomat, Riyad Mansour, was speaking to reporters as he went into a Security Council meeting to discuss the resolution. The meeting, which initially was being held behind closed doors, began moments later, a UN spokeswoman said.
Asked if there would be a vote, Mansour said, "There will be a voting on the draft resolution."
