Undercover officer leads to arrest of 17 drug dealers

An undercover police officer who had spent months purchasing a host of narcotics from dealers in the Netanya area led to the arrest of 17 suspects on Monday morning, the police's Lahav 433 Unit announced.
"Some of the suspects are active in crime organizations," the police said in a statement.
Dozens of officers conducted raids and searches in Netanya and the Sharon district throughout Monday morning and into the afternoon.
The undercover officer, dubbed "the universal soldier," purchased very large amounts of hashish, marijuana, hydro-marijuana (grown in water to achieve additional THC delivery), and ecstasy, police said.
"The drugs were sold on the street, in the homes of suspects, and in homes," police added.
Police K-9 units took part in a number of searches and uncovered hiding spots for hashish.
