United J'lem unites entire nation, Livni says on J'lem Day

Opposition leader Tzipi Livni on Wednesday said that "on the matter of Jerusalem, we should all be united."
Speaking at a special Knesset session to mark Jerusalem Day, Livni said that "During the Six Day War, Jerusalem was not only reunified, but the city itself also united the entire nation."
The Kadima leader added that the dream of reaching Jerusalem is also what first guided Ethiopian Jews to the city, a journey in which 4,000 Ethiopian Jews died.
"This story is what symbolizes most, in my opinion, the place of Jerusalem in the hearts of the Jewish people and the price paid by the Jewish people to reach Jerusalem," Livni said.
