UN's Ban strongly condemns J'lem terror attack

NEW YORK  -- United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon strongly condemned Wednesday's bomb attack next to a bus stop in Jerusalem.
"Such attacks are unacceptable," Ban's short statement read. "The Secretary-General is deeply concerned and calls for an immediate cessation of acts of terrorism and violence against civilians in order to prevent further escalation and loss of life. "
Secretary General spokesperson Martin Nesirky said Ban is greatly concerned over the escalation of violence in Gaza and southern Israel. Nesirky said that the Secretary General’s envoy, UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Robert Serry, is in close contact with all parties, and hopes to promote restraint.
