US 'fully expects' more strikes on Libya
WASHINGTON - The United States expects to conduct more strikes on Libya, a senior US military official said on Sunday, as the Western-led military operation against Muammar Gaddafi unfolded.
"This is an ongoing military operation. I fully expect more strikes," the official said on condition of anonymity.
The official also said that General Carter Ham, the head of US Africa Command currently heading the coordinated operations against Gaddafi, was "working very hard to effect transition in the next few days" to coalition leadership.
