Venezuela says it sees minimal impact from US sanctions

CARACAS - Venezuela's state oil company PDVSA expects little or no commercial impact from US sanctions imposed on Tuesday due to trade with Iran, a source at the company said.
The source also told Reuters the move appeared to be primarily political, intended by the government of US President Barack Obama to appease Senate critics of Venezuela's socialist leader Hugo Chavez.
