Venezuela won't stop shipping gasoline to Iran

Venezuela plans to continue shipping fuel to Iran despite the threat of US sanctions.
David Velasquez is Venezuela's ambassador to Teheran. He says President Hugo Chavez's government won't be bullied into halting its gasoline shipments to Iran, one of Venezuela's closest allies in the Middle East since Chavez took office.The self-declared socialist president has criticized Washington for pressuring Iran to halt its nuclear program amid fears that it is developing nuclear weapons. Chavez defends Iran's nuclear ambitions as peaceful.
Chavez says the US Treasury Department should not be imposing sanctions against the Islamic republic or businesses involved in trade with Teheran.
Velasquez spoke Wednesday, according to Venezuela's state-run AVN news agency.
