Victim identifies Ashkenazi's bodyguard as attempted rapist

Victim identifies Ashken

The young woman who fought off an attempted rape in Tel Aviv's old port area on Saturday identified her alleged attacker in person at the Yarkon Police Station on Monday evening, despite earlier failing to do so when presented with a series of photographs. Police brought the woman into the room where the suspect - a 30-year-old IDF captain who serves as a body guard for IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi - was being interrogated, and she positively identified him as the would-be rapist.
