Eight people were detained following a riot between security forces and a group of 30 people made up of Palestinians and Israeli and foreign Left-wing activists in the West Bank on Saturday.
The group was spotted by the IDF setting out from the village of Bet Omar, south west of Bethlehem, towards the settlement of Karmi Tzur. The protesters arrived at the fence surrounding the settlement and began throwing rocks at security forces, the IDF Spokesman Unit said.
Soldiers responded with riot dispersal means, and declared the area a closed military zones. Eight people who refused to leave the area were taken for questioning. No injuries were reported during the clash.
