White House: US wants cooperative ties with Pakistan

WASHINGTON - The United States wants to have a cooperative relationship with Pakistan despite strains over the killing of Osama bin Laden, White House spokesman Jay Carney said on Monday.
"We believe it is very important to maintain a cooperative relationship with Pakistan, precisely because it's in our national security interests to do so," Carney told a news briefing.
