Yacimovich says Kadima-led opposition was a 'farce'

Labor leader Shelley Yacimovich on Wednesday discussed her upcoming role as head of the opposition, vowing to provide a true alternative to the government as opposed to the previous Kadima-led opposition, which she called "a farce."
Yacimovich was expected to be named head of the opposition on Wednesday afternoon, after Shaul Mofaz and Kadima moved to join the government on Tuesday.
The Labor leader stated that the opposition in the last three years had not provided an alternative to the government "for one minute."
Yacimovich vowed that the opposition under her leadership would lead a battle on the issue of the 2013 budget. She noted that this would be a challenge due to the fact that this opposition will be one of the smallest in history.
