Yesha Council announces construction in Beit Hagai

Building will begin in the Beit Hagai settlement at 6pm on Thursday, a statement from the Yesha Council of Jewish Communities in Judea and Samaria read Thursday afternoon.

The statement also said that prior to construction beginning, there would be a memorial service for the four Beit Hagai victims of the fatal Hamas shooting attack on Tuesday.

Yesha Council Director General Naftali Bennett said that the move was to show that in response to terror, more construction will take place.

“The new appeasement approach is the wrong direction to take in the face of Islamic enemies committed to wiping Israel off the face of earth. The world need to know that there is another option - a strong Israel, with promising co-existence on the ground,” he said.
