Yishai: 'I stayed strong in my faith' against 'media lynch'

Interior Minister Eli Yishai related his personal traumas following the Carmel fires last month, facing what he described as a "media lynch" and "humiliation," explaining that he "was the first to agree to passing a fire-response budget" during an interview on Army Radio Thursday.

Yishai related that though he received harsh criticism, that he also received positive support from some families of the tragically deceased.

The Interior Minister also sought council with Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, and said he was "bestowed with great warmth" from the Shas party's spiritual leader.
