Yishai to Barak: What about Israeli children going hungry?

Interior Minister Eli Yishai criticized Defense Minister Ehud Barak's call on Sunday for the government to rescind its decision to expel over 400 foreign workers' children, asking if there weren't more pressing priorities for the government minister to be worrying about.
"I haven't heard of a single government minister or other person calling for a cabinet meeting regarding the 580,000 children who go hungry in Israel every year," said Yishai.
He reiterated that there are over 20,000 foreign children up to the age of 17 living illegally in Israel and that if steps weren't taken to curb problem of illegal immigration now, it would eventually endanger the "Zionist enterprise."
