Yishai urges more competition to lower Israeli prices

Israel must increase competition to lower prices and protect its consumers, Interior Minister Eli Yishai said on Sunday.
Responding to reports that Israeli products are sold more cheaply abroad than in Israel, Yishai said, "The political establishment should intervene more in the Israeli market and open it to competition by lowering import customs payments from abroad and taxes for local businesses and manufacturers."
