A young man was stabbed to death in south Tel Aviv after being assaulted by three unknown men early on Saturday morning. Police believe the murder victim knew his attackers. The victim, 22, was found by paramedics in the Tel Kabir neighborhood and was declared dead upon arrival at the Wolfson Medical Center in Holon.
Hebrew media said eye witnesses reported seeing three men arrive by taxi, and gather under the victim’s apartment.
Police suspect the attackers had arranged a meeting with the victim, who had returned from a night out. The witnesses said the attackers set upon the youth, stabbing him and striking him with a rock. Neighbors shouted for the attackers to leave the victim alone. They then fled the scene. Police have launched a homicide investigation.
