Thursday, January 19 Likud Chairman Binyamin Netanyahu will address the issue of Terror in a Global Era at a lecture evening organized by the Faculty of Social Sciences at Tel Aviv University. The respondent will be Prof. George Fletcher of the Columbia University Law Faculty. The lecture will take place at 6 p.m. in the Malka Brenda Auditorium of the TAU Law School. The Archeological Department of the Faculty of Humanities at Haifa University will host a symposium on new archaeological findings and historic discoveries under the title: Crossing the Jordan. Sunday, January 22 The Grammar of Love in Ancient Southern India - a lecture in Hebrew by Prof. David Shulman of the Hebrew University. Monday, January 23 Professor Yair Oron, Chair of the Department of Sociology, Political Science and Communications at the Open University of Israel will deliver a lecture in Hebrew under the auspices of The Interreligious Coordinating Council in Israel. Can an academic boycott ever be justified? is one of the questions which Israeli and overseas academics will attempt to answer in a two day international conference on academic freedom hosted by Bar Ilan University.
