Sunday, March 30 KOSOVO'S INDEPENDENCE and International Law, Lessons for Israel to Learn, is the subject of a workshop to be hosted by the International Law Forum of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs at 10 a.m. at the JCPA, 13 Tel Hai Street, Jerusalem. ONE OF the largest gatherings of Jewish and Israeli humanitarian aid groups ever assembled in Israel will come together for a two-day conference under the auspices of Tel Aviv University's Harold Hartog School of Government and Policy to discuss the new international agenda - Tikkun Olam, a traditional Hebrew concept that means "mending the world." The conference will unite Israeli aid organizations and Jewish humanitarian groups from around the world in a common mission: partaking in the global effort to overcome the world's most serious afflictions of poverty, hunger and disease. Tuesday, April 1 ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION Minister Gideon Ezra will be among the participants in a conference on Environment 2020: Challenges, Innovations, Corporate Social Responsibility. Among the speakers will be US Congressman Henry Waxman, chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. The event will be held at Prime, in the Tel Aviv Fairgrounds. Wednesday, April 2 COLLINS STEWART will host a "Going Public Abroad" conference, which it is sponsoring in conjunction with DC Finance at the Dan Panorama Hotel in Tel Aviv. A wide range of speakers will address various topics relating to listing Israeli companies on a foreign exchange. AFTER BALI: Global Warming in Israel and Palestine is the subject of of the next meeting in the afternoons with IPCRI series. It will be held at the Notre Dame Hotel in Jerusalem at 3 p.m. PRIVATIZATION AND Society in Israel, a conference in Hebrew, will be held in honor of the publication of Shraga Biran's book, In praise of opportunism: An introduction to the theory of opportunities.
