Partner Communications, which operates the Orange cellular network, said Wednesday it is raising its tariffs on March 1. The increase is a result of a cut in interconnect fees due on the same day, as mandated by the Communications Ministry, and the ministry's decision to scrap fees on hang-up voice mail messages, Partner said. The company said the changes will increase monthly bills by an average of 4.6% for customers on certain packages. Text messages will cost 3 agorot more per message, Partner said. Orange business customers will see a 5% hike on their tariffs and Orange bigtalk clients will be hit with a 2.3% rise for SMS messages.
