The National Labor Court rejected Leon Morozovsky's request to issue an order preventing the umbrella Histadrut labor union from asserting control over assets of the Administerial and Clerical Workers Union (Histadrut ha-Ma'of), which Morozovsky headed until late last week, his spokeswoman said Monday evening. The court also rejected his petition for the court to force the Histadrut to allow the Ma'of leadership to carry out a referendum among members on whether they want to stay in the Histadrut or follow Morozovsky, who intended to split the Ma'of from the Histadrut. Morozovsky pledged that he would continue to work towards this goal, and said that "tens of thousands of workers" were supporting him.
