Eini: Finance Ministry not taking talks seriously

Histadrut Chairman Ofer Eini said on Sunday that the Finance Ministry was not being serious about negotiations to compensate workers who had not received a raise in salary. In an interview with Israel Radio, Eini said the ministry wanted to compensate the workers by only .2% even though the last price index alone rose by .7%. Eini is set to meet with Finance Minister Ronnie Bar-On on Monday in hopes of preventing a general public sector strike.
