GSA expands Europe Leadership council

Newly-named EMEA Leadership Council will provide regional and global feedback to the organization's board of directors.

The Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA) announced on Thursday that it renamed its leadership council for Europe the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Leadership Council, reflecting the multiple countries within the EMEA that are playing a more significant and growing role within the industry. The Alliance also expanded the Council, which comprises key executives from leading semiconductor companies, including Danny Hacohen, senior vice president business operations of Herzliya-based DSP Group. The EMEA Leadership Council will provide regional and global feedback to the organization's board of directors by articulating regional challenges and identifying additional tools, resources and activities needed. The GSA's mission is to accelerate the growth and increase the return on invested capital of the global semiconductor industry by fostering a more effective fabless industry through collaboration, integration and innovation. It addresses the challenges within the supply chain including IP, EDA/design, wafer manufacturing, test and packaging to enable industry-wide solutions. The GSA plans to host the GSA Israel Executive Forum in Tel Aviv in April, its first event in Israel.
