Those hoping for a helping hand when it comes to investing in Israel's capital markets may have found what they were looking for with a new effort to provide the uninformed with a "how to" guide to responsible investing. The Israel Securities Authority and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange on Tuesday jointly launched a campaign Tuesday under the slogan "More information has arrived for your money" to promote the new www.kesef.org.il Web site, which is designed to help investors gain the basic information and rights relevant to investing in the local capital markets. "The capital markets present a number of investment possibilities and we often see that people invest their money based on non-professional suggestions, rumors or gut feel," said Moshe Terry, chairman of the ISA. "This campaign is aimed at clarifying for the investment community what savings can be achieved by investing intelligently and professionally." The site provides a step-by-step guide in Hebrew through the investment process from defining one's investment goals and what type of investment one wants to making the investment and how to update it afterward. The campaign will run for two weeks in the media and is aimed at Israeli investors. Separately, the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange is about to launch its English language corporate actions system, The Jerusalem Post has learned, posting select company announcements on its Web site www.tase.co.il, in English. The decision follows a general upgrade of the TASE site that was completed two months ago.
