Key issues unsettled in Mercosur talks

The Israel-Latin America Chamber of Commerce will hold a seminar on trading with Mercosur this Thursday evening at the Sheraton Hotel in Tel Aviv.

A third round of talks between Israel and the South American trade block Mercosur has ended without agreement on key issues related to Israeli exporters' access to South American markets and the reduction of import tariffs, the Industry, Trade and Labor Ministry said Tuesday. "Understandings in principle" on the matters, however, were reached, the ministry noted, indicating that progress was achieved on conflict resolution protocols, origin rules, and means of protection.
