Polished diamond exports fall 1%

In the first 10 months of the year, polished exports rose 7% to $5.93 billion, while rough diamond imports in the January through October period grew 10% to $10.1b.

Polished diamond exports sales dropped 1% to $605 million in October, compared with the same month last year, while polished diamond imports rose 32% to $500m. the Industry, Trade and Labor Ministry reported on Monday. Meanwhile, rough diamond imports fell 19% to $440m., while rough exports grew 32% to $348m. during the same period. In the first 10 months of the year, polished exports rose 7% to $5.93 billion, while rough diamond imports in the January through October period grew 10% to $10.1b.
