Progress on Ashalim solar station

The photovoltaic cells selected for use in the project will be considered in light of reforms at the Israel Electric Corporation affecting regulations and energy tariffs.

The Ministry of National Infrastructures announced Sunday that it was making progress on plans for a 100 megawatt solar energy station in Ashalim. National Infrastructures Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer said the Hevel Eilat and Negev regions, where Ashalim is located, are the "national preference" for energy renewal sites.
