Tadiran Batteries Ltd. won a NIS 2.6 million contract from the Defense Ministry to supply lithium batteries for government approved gas masks, the Kiryat Ekron-based company said Sunday. Tadiran will provide the Defense Ministry with its PulsesPlus lithium batteries, which it claims have an operating life span three times that of other batteries. Tadiran believes the order gives it an opportunity to penetrate similar markets in the US and Europe.
