Nefesh B'Nefesh's 10,000th oleh will land in Israel on Wednesday. Rachel and Simcha Gluck will arrive at Ben Gurion airport along with another 220 olim on the flight. Making their final arrangements towards their life-long dream of living in Israel, the couple are fulfilling a promise they made to each other in 2001. "I promised Rachel that if she came back from studying in Israel to marry me, that we would make Aliyah together in the future," said Simcha, from their home in Queens, New York. "After five long years, we are finally coming home to Israel, and Nefesh B'Nefesh has made it possible." During the last five years, the couple, who both obtained BA degrees from Queens College, New York, have built a successful business. Both have already found employment in Israel. NBN works in close cooperation with the Jewish Agency for Israel and was founded in 2001 by Rabbi Yehoshua Fass and Tony Gelbart, with a goal of aiding Jewish immigrants from the US and Canada financially and professionally in the immigration process. In 2006, NBN assisted more than 3,000 olim in their move to Israel, representing 16% of the total immigration into Israel for the year. According to the organization, 99% have remained in Israel.
