Getting ready for the new season, hundreds of players came to AFI Open Houses the past two weekends at Kraft Family Stadium in Jerusalem. Registration for the 2005-06 Heritage Affinity AFI men's contact league will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 7, at Kraft Family Stadium in Jerusalem. Teams may also register on Saturday, October 8, and Friday-Saturday, October 14-15. The first weekend of the season will be Friday-Saturday, October 28-29. Women's American Football in Israel will hold registration and an Open House on Wednesday, November 2, at 6:30 p.m., with the first games of the fall/winter season on November 9. For the first time, there will also be girls' after-school activities this year. For 2005-06, the co-ed Tuesday Night Football League will use for the first time the EFAF/NFL Flag Football Rules. The format, which is five-on-five non-contact, is what the national teams play at IFAF/EFAF tournaments. The TNFL will hold registration on Tuesday, November 1, and its first games will be the following week. In addition, the boys' high school league, known as the HSAFI, will begin play on Tuesday, November 1, with eight regular season games scheduled followed by playoffs. Games will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6-8 p.m. at newly renovated Kraft Family Stadium. The league has also adopted EFAF/NFL Flag Football Rules for the 2005-06 season.
