Air strikes and rocket attacks continued virtually uninterrupted on Monday, the fourth day of fighting between terrorist groups in Gaza and the IDF. Islamic Jihad and the Popular Resistance Committees have taken credit for firing over 160 rockets from Gaza into southern Israel, including 11 rockets overnight.

The IDF launched 6 air strikes overnight targeting a weapons-storage site and four rocket-launch sites in the northern Gaza Strip and one rocket-launch site in the southern Gaza strip. The IDF confirmed hits on its targets, and stated that the attack was a response to rocket fire. Islamic Jihad said that one man was hit while launching a rocket at Israel from a location in southern Gaza and another was killed when his motorized rickshaw was hit. Over 200,000 Israeli school children remained in bomb shelters and unable to attend school.
