Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman on Wednesday night denied a Channel 10 report that US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton canceled a scheduled meeting with him in Paris last week.Both leaders were in France for OECD meetings.RELATED:Lieberman, Barak want diplomatic negotiations to start FM: Israel will talk with PA, but won’t freeze settlements According to Lieberman’s spokesman, no meeting was scheduled, and – as a result – no meeting was canceled.The spokesman said he would not go into the issue of whether a meeting was requested.Lieberman has, for the most part, been cut out of the high level contacts with the Obama administration in Washington. Part of this is because Lieberman, early on in Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s tenure, said he would not be dealing with the diplomatic process with the Palestinians, because he did not believe in it, and part because the administration has preferred to deal directly with Netanyahu and with Defense Minister Ehud Barak.Lieberman last met with Clinton when she was in Israel in September.Lieberman met Wednesday evening with French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe, who arrived for two days of talks with Israeli and Palestinian officials.
