By JPOST.COM STAFF
Health Minister Ya'acov Ben-Yizri said Wednesday morning that the outbreak of anti-biotic-resistant bacteria in local hospitals was not an unusual threat and that there was no reason to panic.
Speaking to Army Radio, Ben-Yizri said that when such a problem arises, the bacteria must be found and examined in order to find a solution, but that such situations are no cause for alarm.
He also noted the importance of basic hygiene in hospitals as a means of preventing bacterial infection.
