Report: Anesthesiologists work in private hospitals after 24-hr public shifts

Numerous anesthesiologists break safety regulations and head to work in private hospitals immediately after 24-hour shifts in the public health service, Channel 10 reported Sunday. Anesthesiologists interviewed by the television channel said that it was too difficult to make a living on the salaries paid by public hospitals alone. Some said they were paid five to six times more in the private sector.
