Some 1,500 chief executive officers and chief information officers attended the MatrixWorld 2007 Conference in Tel Aviv on Wednesday where, among sessions on innovation and entrepreneurship in the technology world, Matrix unveiled WikIT, a Web site dedicated solely to Israel's information technology sector. The site is modeled after the popular online collaborative encyclopedia Wikipedia. "The scope of IT is very rich and with this new site, individuals, companies and organizations will be able to participate together and create a common language between managers and workers, between providers and customers and between chief information officers and those who work on their own personal computers," said Sigalit Savyon, manager of the WikIT project. The Web site will focus mainly on four areas: software; integration and infrastructure; IT service; and IT support. "Matrix continues to provide the technology sector in Israel with the information tools to create quality standards that allow individuals and organizations to maximize their usage participation and interaction with information technology," said Ranit Zeczer, chief technology officer at Matrix. The address of the new Web site is www.wikIT.co.il.
