The Georgian Defense Ministry says two servicemen from the former Soviet republic have been killed in Iraq.
Defense Ministry spokesman Giga Tatishvili says the two died Friday when a booby-trapped car exploded 35 kilometers (22 miles) southeast of Baghdad.
Tatishvili said Saturday that another Georgian serviceman was wounded in the attack.
The impoverished nation in the strategic South Caucasus region is a devoted US ally. It has had 2,000 troops serving in the US-led coalition forces in Iraq since August 2003.
