2 Russian servicemen killed in attack in Chechnya

Two Russian Interior Ministry soldiers were killed in an attack in Chechnya, the ministry said Monday. The attack occurred late Sunday when a patrol came under fire near the village of Niki-Khita, about 40 kilometers southeast of the republic's capital, Grozny, according to a statement from the ministry's division in Chechnya. Although major fighting in Chechnya's separatist war ended years ago, Russian soldiers and police continue to come under small hit-and-run attacks.
