20 dead as jeep plunges into canal in eastern India, official says

An official says twenty members of a wedding party were killed when the jeep carrying them plunged into a roadside canal in eastern India.
Jitendra Singh, the district magistrate of the Patna area in Bihar state, said that Tuesday's accident took place when the driver of the vehicle lost control while negotiating a sharp bend.
All the bodies have been recovered and sent for autopsies, Singh said.
