The US-led coalition has killed an armed Afghan woman and man during a raid, it was announced Sunday. A coalition statement issued Sunday says the two were killed during a nighttime raid Friday in the eastern province of Khost. The troops were attempting to shut down a roadside bomb factory. The coalition said the troops identified themselves in the local language of Pashto, but that an armed individual made threatening gestures and was killed. A second Afghan reached for the weapon and was also killed.
