Al-Qaida releases video showing corpse of its slain Afghan strategist

Al-Qaida released Sunday on militant Web sites a new video eulogy of its top Afghanistan strategist Abu Laith al-Libi, showing his corpse for the first time. "One of the hardest aspects of what we have witnessed in the field of jihad ... is saying goodbye to loved ones and the absence of companions," eulogized fellow Al-Qaida militant Abu Yahya al-Libi on the video, in front of an image of him leaning over Abu Laith's battered corpse. The video message carried the logo of al-Sahab, al-Qaida's media wing.
