UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan urged Iran on Wednesday to do everything it can to convince the international community that its nuclear program is peaceful. He said diplomatic efforts can still prevent an escalation of tensions. "Iran should reasssure indeed its intentions are peaceful," Annan said.
