The lawyer who leaked a police interview with Indian terror suspect Mohamed Haneef challenged Australian authorities to charge him with contempt of court Thursday.
"If they think I've done anything wrong, they are free to take whatever proceedings against me they want to," Stephen Keim told the Australian Broadcasting Corp. "They know where my address is. They can come and grab me anytime they like."
Keim angered Australian Federal Police and the government on Wednesday by releasing the full transcript of a police interview with Haneef, in which the doctor said he had no knowledge of last month's failed attacks in London and Scotland.
Haneef, 27, was charged two weeks after his July 2 arrest with giving support to a terrorist group because of his links to two brothers suspected in the failed British plot - distant cousins of Haneef's.
