Belgian Foreign Minister Kare de Gucht will leave for Iran Saturday, Israel Radio reported Friday overnight.
De Gucht will be arriving in Teheran to accompany a Belgian citizen who was kidnapped by drug dealers in the Islamic Republic approximately one month ago.
De Gucht emphasized that the captive was released following Iranian intervention as the matter was an internal issue and the Belgian government did not intervene.
The abductors called the captive eight times since his capture, de Gucht said.
The man's father said he did not whether a ransom was paid for the release of his son.
